Universal normalization operation is available such as MVIC (Maximum Voluntary Isomeric Contraction)¿Í RVC (Reference Voluntary Contraction) for RMS. It is recommended to go through the normalization process when strictly comparing EMG amplitude between each muscle region or each individual subject. Because RMS values which are amplitude information of EMG measured are also affected by subject individuality such as age, sex, size of the muscle cross section, skin thickness of the subject etc.
